Would-Be Robber Gets A Dye Job

It was no honeymoon for an alleged out-of-town bank robber in Niagara Falls. According to New York State Police, a Buffalo man who robbed an upstate bank was busted in his getaway car when it filled with smoke from an exploding dye pack.  Cops say David Anderson, pictured, allegedly gave a note to a teller at an M & T Bank on Tuesday that read, “give me all the money or I’ll shoot.” So, the teller stuffed the bag with $50 and $20 bills and two red dye packs Witnesses say just before Anderson got into his car, the packs exploded and the car filled with smoke.  “His hands were covered in red dye, the steering wheel was covered in dye,” Detective Palmer said, “and there was all this money in there covered in red dye.” Anderson took off anyway, and in an attempt to shuffle off to Buffalo, proceeded to get lost.  Officers allegedly found him weaving his way onto the expressway.  When they pulled him over, Anderson bolted from his car and led them on a chase, before finally being taken into custody

Happy ‘Cyber-Monday’!

Yes, it's “Cyber Monday,” the new fake holiday invented by marketing firms! This is, of course, not to be confused with  “Black Friday,” the old fake holiday invented by marketing firms, which is now mostly synonymous with elbowing senior citizens in the face as you sprint into a chain store at five in the morning to get a digital camera for 30 bucks off. The idea behind Cyber Monday is that American workers who are FAR too smart to bumrush malls in the wee hours of Black Friday should instead get back behind their computers at work on Monday after the Thanksgiving break, and use the day to purchase things online. Then, when they get fired from their jobs for neglecting their work, they won't be able to pay off their credit card bills, setting off another wrenching cycle of unemployment, despair and alcoholism, just in time for all those open-bar holiday parties! But what are you reading this for?
