Dumbest Moments Of The Decade: Sarah Palin Talks To Katie Couric
I know this is a few days old, but any story that involves an escaped inmate trying to hide behind a toilet is evergreen, at least in my eyes. The Einstein in the picture is 19-year-old Christopher McNeely, who broke out of the Faulkner County (AR) Detention Center last week and was able to hide out for a couple days at the home of an acquaintance. The friend probably got sick of McNeely's company and dropped a dime to cops, who found the escapee hiding out behind the john.

I don’t know about the whole “guns don’t kill people, people kill people” NRA slogan, but I do know that someone has to shoot the gun, and sometimes, that someone is a dumb criminal. Such is the case this week in Athens, GA. Police say Michael Anthony Randall, Jr., pictured, shot himself above the ankle with a sawed-off shotgun just as he was about to rob a convenience store. People pumping gas outside the Bulldog Corner store heard a gunshot Sunday night.
